Episode 14! Stu and Billy delve back into the DC Cinematic Universe this week to watch Suicide Squad! Written & Directed by David Ayer ( Training Day, Harsh Times, Street Kings, Fury ), Suicide Squad has intelligence officer Amanda Waller (Viola Davis) deciding to assemble a team of dangerous, incarcerated supervillains for a top-secret task force, Task Force X.  The team is who's who of rogues from the DC Universe including the likes of Deadshot (Will Smith), Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney), Killer Croc (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje), El Diablo (Jay Hernandez), and many other despicable inmates. The Team is also led in field by Rick Flagg (Joel Kinnaman). Dubbed the Suicide Squad, the united criminals must defeat a mysterious and powerful entity while contending with the antics of the diabolical Clown Prince Crime, The Joker (Jared Leto). Well folks, it’s that magical time of the year once again – when Hollywood rolls out its biggest and noisiest films. The blockbuster season is always a fun time to see which films live up to the hype and which ones disappoint. To date, the Men in Black franchise has been a mixed bag. The first film was novel and charming whereas the second instalment felt laboured and bogged down by endless exposition. With Men in Black 3, the franchise returns to its glory days, offering a heart-felt story filled with genuine laughs and well-defined characters.

If I'm to be completely honest, I was actually a little disappointed that we aren't getting a title track from Mr. Smith himself but maybe that's just because I'm still living in 1997. Much to my surprise, Pitbull isn't just a cranky breed of dog, it is also the name of a rapper from Miami who has supplied the title track to Men in Black 3, "Back in Time".  Check it out in Pitbull's live performance of the track after the jump!

The Men in Black return this year and it looks to be just as fun as previous outings. We are reunited with J and a suspiciously youthful K (botox much!?!). No, no botox, just a touch of time travel. Josh Brolin steps into the shoes of a young Tommy Lee Jones and boy does he look, and sound, the part. J steps back in time to a place when spacemen weren't wisecracking Pugs but little green men with fish bowls on their head. This was a simpler time when Agents wielded six shooters instead of THE CRICKET!  I was always a fan of the MIB franchise, the films, the cartoon and before all else the comic book so you can colour me excited for this latest foray into the unexplainable.
