So now that Year Who Should Not Be Named is behind us, I thought I'd take a brief moment to reflect on my favourite films of the year. In years gone by I tried to catch as many new releases in cinemas, but the emergence of the streaming platforms has made that almost impossible. I'm still wrestling with the concept, so I can't appreciate if I like it or not. Surely it must be a good thing, but a part of me gets overwhelmed by the sheer volume of content blasted towards us. Maybe we're not meant to catch it all.  I’ve missed more films this year than I'd care to admit, hopefully I'll grab them in 2021. Would love to hear what films tickled your fancy this year. Episode 28! Stu and Billy travel to a galaxy far far away this week as they watch Rogue One ! Rogue One  is the first anthology film in the Star Wars universe set before Episode IV A New Hope , and tells the story of how the Rebel Alliance stole the Death Star plans. The film is directed by Gareth Edward ( Godzilla (2014), Monsters ) with a screenplay by Tony Gilroy ( Jason Bourne Series ), and Chris Weitz ( Cinderella (2015), The Golden Compass ). The film stars Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Mads Mikkelsen, Alantudyk, Riz Ahmed, Jiang Wen, and Forest Whitaker. This week discussion of the film is spoiler heavy so be warned.  As well as the film, Stu and I discuss what else we've been watching this week, and look over the latest in movie news.
