New Zealand’s BELLBIRD, coming to Aussie cinemas 2 July

Image
Ross (Marshall Napier) has farmed the land all his life, just as his father and grandfather did before him. A largely silent man, Ross farms the land alongside his far more exuberant wife Beth (Annie Whittle), who is an eager participant in the local choir and a friend to many. When Beth suddenly dies, Ross is crushed but incapable of displaying his emotions. His son Bruce (Cohen Holloway) moves back in and tries to help, but is not suited to the farming life and also has great difficulties in expressing himself. Around them, their friends realise the difficulties, and pitch in to help. One of my favourite films of the Sydney Film Festival 2019, is finally getting released! This is the exact antidote to all of 2020's nonsense that we've all been crying out for. Perfect way to get back into going to the movies.  Bellbird hits cinemas 2nd of July, 2020 - Stu

Slim & I - trailer

Image
For over 50 years country music legend Slim Dusty and his wife Joy McKean trail-blazed their way across Australia performing, writing and collecting songs of the bush and its people. They created a musical legacy that to this day continues to entertain and inspire, a catalogue of plain speaking yet profoundly insightful music documenting the rural Australian experience. Theirs is perhaps one of the greatest partnerships in Australian music history.  SLIM & I will be coming to Australian cinemas August 20 #SlimAndIMovie
