Episode 51! Stu and Billy are back at the flicks this week to watch Spider-Man: Homecoming ! Spider-Man: Homecoming is directed by Edgar Wright ( The Onion News Network, Clown, Cop Car ) and stars Tom Holland ( The Impossible, How I Live Now, Captain America: Civil War ) as Peter Parker, the Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man. After his experience with the Avengers in Captain America: Civil War , young Peter Parker returns home to live with his Aunt May. Under the watchful eye of mentor Tony Stark, Parker starts to embrace his newfound identity as Spider-Man. He also tries to return to his normal daily routine -- distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just a friendly neighbourhood superhero. Peter must soon put his powers to the test when the evil Vulture (Michael Keaton) emerges to threaten everything that he holds dear. Episode 26! Stu and Billy are back at the flicks this week to watch The Founder ! The Founder  is a biographical drama film directed by John Lee Hancock ( The Rookie, The Blind Side, and Saving Mr. Branks), and is written by Robert D. Siegel ( The Onion Movie and The Wrestler ). The film stars Michael Keaton as Ray Kroc, and tells the story of how he acquired the McDonald's fast food chain from the McDonald brothers, Maurice "Mac" & Richard "Dick" McDonald, portrayed by  John Carroll Lynch & Nick Offerman. The film also stars Laura Dern as Ray's wife Ethel, as well as starring Patrick Wilson, Linda Cardellini, Ric Reitz, Wilbur Fitzgerald, and B. J. Novak. As well as the film, Stu and I discuss what else we've been watching this week, and look over the latest in movie news. Need For Speed is yet another video game adaptation resulting in a dull, lifeless and tedious film proudly joining the ranks of Silent Hill, Prince of Persia and Resident Evil. Proving Hollywood has a unique skill for picking up popular franchises, taking them for a cheap ride then dumping them battered and bruised in the toilet of a roadside diner. I don’t know about you, but growing up I played tonnes of video games that could easily have been adapted into brilliant films. As a card carrying Nintendo devotee, I may be a smidge biased but picture Zelda as a swashbuckling fantasy epic, Castlevania in all its ghoulish glory or Super Mario Bros as … well lets not go there. It's so frustrating that studios can't develop these stories into films without thoroughly butchering them in the process. In 1987 the world was introduced to RoboCop, a one man army and the future of law enforcement. As with many fantastic properties from the 1980's, RoboCop will return to the screen in an all new film directed by Brazilian José Padilha. Not much has been announced regarding the film although a handful of images from the "official" OmniCorp website show designs for the XT-908 aerial vehicle and bipedal badass ED-209 so we can at least expect round 2 between RC and ED. Today, Colombia Pictures and MGM announce that production on the star-studded sic-fi action blockbuster is set to officially commence on the 15th of September in Toronto, Canada.
