Stu's top 10 films for 2020

So now that Year Who Should Not Be Named is behind us, I thought I'd take a brief moment to reflect on my favourite films of the year. In years gone by I tried to catch as many new releases in cinemas, but the emergence of the streaming platforms has made that almost impossible. I'm still wrestling with the concept, so I can't appreciate if I like it or not. Surely it must be a good thing, but a part of me gets overwhelmed by the sheer volume of content blasted towards us. Maybe we're not meant to catch it all.

I’ve missed more films this year than I'd care to admit, hopefully I'll grab them in 2021. Would love to hear what films tickled your fancy this year. Hit me up in the comments below or as always come and play on our Facebook page. Without further adieu here are my top 10 favourite films of the year:
  1. The Last Black Man in San Francisco
  2. American Utopia
  3. Sound of Metal
  4. Da 5 Bloods
  5. The Way Back
  6.  Mank
  7.  Bill and Ted Face the Music
  8. The Lighthouse
  9.  Tenet
  10.  Dick Johnson is Dead
