EA's super successful driving game franchise, Need for Speed is set to hit screens in March 2014.  DreamWorks Pictures’ “Need for Speed” marks an exciting return to the great car-culture films of the 1960s and ’70s, when the authenticity of the world brought a new level of intensity to the action on-screen. Tapping into what makes the American myth of the open road so appealing, the story chronicles a near-impossible cross-country journey for our heroes—one that begins as a mission for revenge, but proves to be one of redemption. Based on the most successful racing video game franchise ever with over 140 million copies sold, "Need for Speed" captures the freedom and excitement of the game in a real-world setting, while bringing to life the passion for the road that has made our love of cars so timeless.

Puss in Boots (directed by Chris Miller) is the latest film in the Shrek universe from DreamWorks Studios, in which we see how Puss became the legendary lothario we know and love. We first meet Puss (Antonio Banderas) as he attempting to relieve Jack (Billy Bob Thorton) and Jill (Amy Sedaris) of magical beans; however his efforts are thwarted by the seductive Kitty Softpaws (Salma Hayek) shortly after this encounter we learn that Kitty Softpaws is working with Humpty Dumpty (Zach Galifianakis) who is the brother of Puss. The trio then set off on an adventure to steal the beans together and far more precious treasure. This is Antonio Banderas’ film from beginning to end; the initial casting back in 2004 for Shrek 2 was a master stroke. He perfectly represents the bravado, cheekiness and passion of such a fiery feline. It helps that Senior Banderas is one of the coolest cats (appalling pun) in Hollywood sadly he wasn’t supported well by the other cast members most noticeably Salma Hayek...

We all know that sequels suck, right? Thankfully, DreamWorks have changed this with Kung Fu Panda 2. There is so much to like about this movie. Following on from where the 2008 film left off we join Dragon Master Po and the Furious Five, Tigress, Viper, Mantis, Monkey and Crane as they guard the Valley of Peace from external threats. Unbeknownst to Po, an evil peacock named Lord Shen has planned world domination but the only thing in his way is our friend, Po the but kicking panda.

I've been supplied with this trailer for the upcoming film, I am Number Four.  Director D.J. Caruso (“Eagle Eye,” “Disturbia”) helms an action-packed thriller about an extraordinary young man, John Smith (Alex Pettyfer), who is a fugitive on the run from ruthless enemies sent to destroy him. Changing his identity, moving from town to town with his guardian Henri (Timothy Olyphant), John is always the new kid with no ties to his past. In the small Ohio town he now calls home, John encounters unexpected, life-changing events—his first love (Dianna Agron), powerful new abilities and a connection to the others who share his incredible destiny.

It has honestly been years since I have played a real pinball machine. I used to love playing the KISS pinnie at the squash courts up the road. The lights, the bells, the smell of hot electrics and plywood! All that aside, if you're looking for a great way to whittle away the last day of the working week head on over and play the Megamind Pinball Machine on-line. I would have posted this sooner but I was playing... Don't forget, Megamind is released locally on next week, on the 9th of December. "that dumb, deaf and blind kid, sure plays a mean pinbal!"

I recently had the pleasure of seeing Dreamworks latest animated extravaganza, Megamind starring the voices of Will Ferrell, Brad Pitt, Tina Fey and Jonah Hill and written and directed by Tom McGrath, writer and director of Madagascar 1 and 2. Set for release in Australia on the 9th of December I was lucky enough to get an invite to an advanced screening.

Thanks to Paramount Pictures I have another couple of clips to share with you. I'm really excited for this movie. After watching How to Train Your Dragon it's quite clear that Dreamworks are pulling out the big guns. Hopefully the whole movie is as enjoyable as these clips have been.

The good folks at Paramount Pictures have supplied us with a couple of clips from the upcoming Megamind animated feature by Dreamworks SKG. To say that I'm looking forward to this movie would be an understatement. I just watched How to Train Your Dragon on Blu Ray and if Megamind lives up to that animation standard it is bound to be mind boggling. I hate to say it but Dreamworks has really hit it's stride, so much so that I'd have to say that they are seriously in contention to knock Pixar off their throne as the kings of CG (I'm sure Katzenberg would love to hear that!)

I AM NUMBER FOUR Walt Disney Studios have supplied us with a trailer for DreamWorks Pictures' "I am Number Four" directed by D.J Caruso of Eagle Eye and Disturbia fame. I hadn't really heard to much about this flick until it reached my inbox but based on the teaser I have really high hopes. Magic, mystery and pretty girls on motor bikes! All I can hope for now is a good story and we have a winner!
