Remember that giddy feeling of sheer excitement that you felt when you first watched the Pirates of the Caribbean trailer? Well, prepare to feel it again. Back in February we reported that Disney's newest franchise, The Lone Ranger, had begun production.  Now, 8 months later, I can official say that we here are eagerly anticipating Gore Verbinski's latest adventure. Just last week we announced with much joy that Verbinski and Bruckheimer's Lone Ranger film had started production. So just a few days later we get our very first look at Johnny Depp as Tonto and Armie Reed as John Reid/The Lone Ranger. Check it out after the jump!

Hi-yo Silver, AWAAAAAY! Walt Disney Studios have announced that the long planned Lone Ranger film has officially commenced production and will reunite Pirates allumni Depp, Verbinski and Bruckheimer while adding The Social Network's Armie Hammer into the masked mans... err... mask.
