Dune - trailer

Image
Oscar nominee Denis Villeneuve (“Arrival,” “Blade Runner 2049”) directs Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures’ “Dune,” the big-screen adaptation of Frank Herbert’s seminal bestseller of the same name. A mythic and emotionally charged hero’s journey, “Dune” tells the story of Paul Atreides, a brilliant and gifted young man born into a great destiny beyond his understanding, who must travel to the most dangerous planet in the universe to ensure the future of his family and his people. As malevolent forces explode into conflict over the planet’s exclusive supply of the most precious resource in existence—a commodity capable of unlocking humanity’s greatest potential—only those who can conquer their fear will survive.  The film stars Oscar nominee Timothée Chalamet (“Call Me by Your Name,” “Little Women”), Rebecca Ferguson (“Stephen King’s Doctor Sleep,” “Mission: Impossible – Fallout”), Oscar Isaac (the “Star Wars” franchise) Oscar nominee Josh Brolin (“Milk,” “Avengers:...

Latest trailer for 1917 (in cinemas January 16 2020)

Image
Far from home in a landscape strewn with threats two young soldiers face their darkest fears and embark on a journey behind enemy lines to deliver a message that could not only save their brother, but an entire battalion on the unforgiving fields of war. In cinemas January 16 I’m always fascinated when an acclaimed director such as Sam Mendes (Skyfall, Road to Perdition) takes on an epic production. Sure they don’t always land as we hope for, but Lordy it’s a good time had by all when they do. Think Christoper Nolan’s Dunkirk, Terrence Malick’s The Thin Red Line or MIchael Mann’s Last of the Mohicans. Can’t wait to see how Mendes captures the theatre of war. I’ll be in line opening day for this one. - Stu ,

Trailer for Playing with Fire

Image
When straight-laced fire superintendent Jake Carson (John Cena) and his elite team of expert firefighters (Keegan-Michael Key, John Leguizamo and Tyler Mane) come to the rescue of three siblings (Brianna Hildebrand, Christian Convery and Finley Rose Slater) in the path of an encroaching wildfire, they quickly realize that no amount of training could prepare them for their most challenging job yet – babysitters. Unable to locate the children’s parents, the firefighters have their lives, jobs and even their fire depot turned upside down and quickly learn that kids – much like fires –are wild and unpredictable. PLAYING WITH FIRE , starring John Cena , in cinemas JANUARY 9 2020

Image
There's no such thing as too much, or too little, when you're talking about Batman. As such, Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment have just released a look at the Batmobile in "Battle Mode". The absolute worst thing about watching this trailer is knowing that the game has been pushed back to next year. That said, hopefully it will just result in an even more polished product. Need for Speed Trailer has Fast Cars and Stuff

Image
Do you feel the need? Well, if you do indeed feel the need for velocity, as it were, then you're in luck. EA's super successful driving game franchise, Need for Speed is set to hit screens in March 2014.  DreamWorks Pictures’ “Need for Speed” marks an exciting return to the great car-culture films of the 1960s and ’70s, when the authenticity of the world brought a new level of intensity to the action on-screen. Tapping into what makes the American myth of the open road so appealing, the story chronicles a near-impossible cross-country journey for our heroes—one that begins as a mission for revenge, but proves to be one of redemption. Based on the most successful racing video game franchise ever with over 140 million copies sold, "Need for Speed" captures the freedom and excitement of the game in a real-world setting, while bringing to life the passion for the road that has made our love of cars so timeless.

Tim Winton's The Turning Showcases Australia's Best

Image
If you thought that The Great Gatsby was a great Australian release, you were dead wrong. While it was directed by an Aussie and shot locally, there wasn't much more to it than that. The Turning, however, looks as though it could be one of the greatest Aussie releases in recent memory. Based on Tim Winton's anthology of short stories, The Turning showcases 17 directors telling 17 stories, each of which is blessed to have some incredible Australian actors on board such as Hugo Weaving, Cate Blanchett, Rose Byrne, Mia Wasikowska and many more. Described as being blunt yet sophisticated, The Turning is an extremely exciting Australian production.
