Image
Episode 41! Stu and Billy are back this week to discuss Lego Batman ! Lego Batman   is a spin-off from The Lego Movie with its story focusing on Batman as he attempts to overcome his greatest fear, and stop the Joker's latest plot. Will Arnett (Arrested Development, The Lego Movie, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) reprises his role as the voice of the Dark Knight, and Chris McKay ( The Lego Movie, Robot Chicken ) returns to direct the spin-off. Zach Galifianakis, Michael Cera, Rosario Dawson, and Ralph Fiennes  also star as the voices of The Joker, Dick Grayson/Robin, Barbara Gordon/Batgirl, and Alfred Pennyworth respectively. As well as the film, Stu and I discuss what else we've been watching this week, and look over the latest in movie news. As always it would make our day if you could take a couple of minutes to rate and reviews us on iTunes or drop us some feedback below! Really keen to have your input in the show. Enjoy!       ...

Batman Volume 3: Death of the Family Review

Image
Scott Synder and Greg Capullo's work on Batman has been nothing short of ground breaking. Somehow this dynamic duo have managed to reinvigorate a character that didn't really need reinvigorating. The world of the New 52 Batman is darker, harsher, more complex and infinitely scarier than any Bat-universe before it. It's a more intense version of everything fans have come to love about the character and the city he inhabits. After reading Death of the Family it seems that The Court of Owls and The Night of Owls storylines were a mere primer for the terrifying trials in store for Bruce Wayne. The horror elements introduced in those stories come off as mild compared to what takes place in Death of the Family , a story arc opens with the Joker slaughtering the cops at GCPD to get his face back and proceeds to get more disturbing from there.

Batman: Arkham Origins (PS3) Review

Image
Both Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City were released to great fanfare upon their release in 2009 and 2011 respectively. The third in the series, Batman: Arkham Origins, has seen one major change in the franchise with the baton being passed from initial developers Rocksteady, to WB Games Montreal. While the developer may have changed, just about everything else has stayed the same. In Arkham Origins, Batman has been wearing the cape and cowl for a meagre 2 years. Still somewhat of a greenhorn, he is yet to encounter many of the characters who will eventually become staples of the Bat's rogues gallery. Essentially, Arkham Origins is your run of the mill prequel.

Batman Arkham Origins Gameplay Revealed

Welcome to a fledgling Arkham for the story behind the story. Batman is being hunted by a crew of the worlds deadliest and must use all the tools at his disposal to escape from the clutches of Black Mask.  It looks as though much of the gameplay in Origins walks the same line as the previous two games and, while that's not a bad thing, hopefully we'll see some innovation in upcoming videos. In the meantime, enjoy some gameplay of the upcoming Batman: Arkham Origins. On the eve of the E3, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has unveiled the debut action-packed gameplay trailer for Batman: Arkham Origins. The first look at gameplay showcases some of the villains players will see in the game – Bane, Deathstroke, Black Mask, Deadshot and The Joker. Viewers can also get a sneak peak at some of the new features including the all-new Crime Scene system and Remote Claw gadget.  Developed by WB Games Montréal, Batman: Arkham Origins features an expanded Gotham City ...

Arrow/Green Arrow Confirmed as Injustice Character

Hot on the heels of the highly acclaimed Warner Bros series Arrow, comes the announcement that the titular characters likeness (that of Stephen Amell) will be an unlockable skin. Also highlighted is last weeks announcement that Doomsday will be a playable character, opening up the option for an epic showdown between Superman and his killer. Also this week the quarter finals saw Superman battle Green Arrow which, unless we're talking a one armed Oliver Queen from book 4 of Dark Knight Returns, he's got no hope! Regardless, check out all of the Battle Arena videos for this week. The semi-finals are looking epic! Follow on after the jump for more information and the official press release.
