Sonic the Hedgehog gets a new trailer and a new look...

Based on the global blockbuster video game franchise from Sega, SONIC THE HEDGEHOG tells the story of the world’s speediest hedgehog as he embraces his new home on Earth. In this live-action adventure comedy, Sonic and his new best friend Tom (James Marsden) team up to defend the planet from the evil genius Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey) and his plans for world domination. The family-friendly film also stars Tika Sumpter and Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic. SONIC THE HEDGEHOG, in cinemas February 13, 2020.

We geeks are a funny lot. We swear loyalty to one of two properties and rarely sway from one to the other. Are you a Star Trek fan or a Star Wars fan? Marvel or DC? Mario or Sonic?  I have a tendency to sit on the fence in every area except when it comes to Sonic. I'm a Sonic fan, through and through. Sure, I can see the similarities between Mario Kart and Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed but Mario Kart never looked this cool! Everybody's favourite blue blur is all grown up at the ripe old age of 20! That's right, Sonic the Hedgehog has turned 20 and Sega have released Sonic Generations as a birthday present to us all. The ultimate celebration of 20 Years of Sonic gaming, Sonic Generations delivers the definitive gaming experience for Sonic fans new and old. Sonic’s universe is thrown into chaos when a mysterious new power comes into force, creating ‘time holes’ which take Sonic and his friends back in time. Whilst there, Sonic runs into some very familiar characters from his past including a younger version of himself! Now they must team up to defeat their enemies, save their friends, and find out who is behind this diabolical deed.

Game News - Sonic Speeds to PC Download

It turns out that PC's aren't only for first person shooters! To prove this point, Sonic Generations will be available for PC digital download from November 3rd, the same day as on Xbox 360 and PS3 digital networks. So now there is no excuse for missing out on Sonic's 20th birthday celebrations!

GOOD GOLLY MISS MOLLY! If you weren't excited about Sonic Generations before you should be now!  Sega have just issues a press release with information and pictures of the Collector's Edition of the upcoming Sonic Generations and it looks like the perfect way to celebrate our little blue pals 20th birthday. there are plenty of "Collector's Edition" games coming out nowadays but not all of them look the goods like this one.
