Image Comics have released this somewhat depressing teaser image for what is presumably the beginning of a new story arc in Robert Kirkman's The Walking Dead. I guess we'll have to wait and find out in issue #80, hitting shelves in December.

Before you say it, yes, I'm aware Puella Magi Madoka Magica  (or PMMM for short, which sounds like a noise of satisfaction you'd make with a pinched nose) - the deconstruction of the Magical Girl anime genre that would spawn classics like Sailor Moon - started life as a 12-episode anime series followed by a successful series of manga adaptations. Naoki Urasawa's Monster is widely regarded as being a manga masterpiece so it should come as no surprise that the anime incarnation is just as fantastic. Monster: The Perfect Edition (manga) Volume 1 Review

Having previously glowingly reviewed Naoki Urasawa's 20th Century Boys , Pluto , and the anime adaptation of Monster , it should come as no surprise that the manga series that preceded those previously mentioned series is another absolute masterpiece. Honestly, I had to head to the superlative store just in case I ran out during this review. In short, don't bother reading this review unless you're in the mood for some unbridled gushing, just go buy this title instead. On of the worlds greatest surgeons, Dr Kenzo Tenma, is faced with tough decisions every day, decisions that can literally mean the difference between life and death.
